Hi All -

I don't know if anyone else has commented on this already (or when exactly it was added), but Priceline seem to have a new (4*) zone for London airports, called "Slough - Heathrow Airport" in addition to their normal "Heathrow Airport" zone.

In the past I was quite surprised when bidding for a 4* Heathrow hotel via Priceline to end up with a booking at the "Heathrow / Windsor Marriott". This particular hotel - while perfectly pleasant - is located 6 miles from Heathrow in Slough, which is stretching the 'Heathrow' designation a bit. And despite being so far from the airport they still charge for overnight parking! I wonder if the addition of this new zone is in response to customer complaints about 'Heathrow' bids ending up with a Slough hotel - as it allows Priceline to keep offering the Marriott but no longer pretend its truly an 'airport' hotel...? Or maybe Priceline have added additional Slough hotels and have decided to make it a zone in its own right?
