Started bidding using "bonus cash" from Priceline:

1.  Full size - bid $7 + $3 bonus cash = rejected
2.  Mid-size - bid $9 + $3 bonus cash = rejected
3.  Standard - bid $12 + $3 bonus cash = rejected

Waited until a few days later:
4.  Full size - bid $18 = accepted with Hertz

Seems like the Priceline "bonus cash" is worthless.  Also, the above daily rate is before they add on all the other stuff, which totaled as much as the rental itself.

I can assure you that bonus money is not worthless. Every time someone brings that up, others will refute it. We have tons of examples of this. There is a discussion about bonus money in the Member Announcements forum.

As to the add ons, Priceline just passes along the same taxes and fees that the rental car companies charge which are high at most airports. Many of the fees are flat fees and are not relative to the rental amount. Priceline also adds a small service fee.
