This is our first post on Bidding for Travel.  Please excuse if anything was done incorrectly.

My husband is attending a professional conference at the Hynes Convention Centre.  Our preference is to get a hotel in the Back Bay Copley area, but we were willing to accept the Brookline/Fenway area as well, and we were willing to get a star level down to 3*.

Boston Hotel website (3*) showed the minimum price as $245 USD.

Bidding started on September 24th.  Here is how the bids went.
1. Back Bay Copley Square: 4.5* . $200 CAD (= $162 USD).  Rejected.
2. Back Bay Copley Square: 4* . $200 CAD (= $162 USD).  Rejected.
3 Back Bay Copley Square & Brookline/Fenway Park: 4* . $200 CAD (= $162 USD).  Rejected.

Came back 2 days later (Sept. 26th), and found a Priceline Express deal for a 3* for $166 CAD (=$134.50 USD), hoping to beat it.  Suspected this was for the Boston Hotel in Brighton/Allston.
4.  Back Bay Copley Square & Brookline/Fenway Park: 3.5* . $150 CAD (= $121.50USD).  Rejected.
5.  Back Bay Copley Square & Brookline/Fenway Park: 3.0* . $150 CAD (= $121.50USD).  Rejected.
6.   Back Bay Copley Square & Brookline/Fenway Park: 3.0* . $155 CAD (= $125.50USD).  Rejected.
For some strange reason, when I tried to change the amount to $160 CAD, it was not recognizing the new price and kept telling me to review the bid and change something.  Tried this several times, then gave up.

Decided to take the Express Deal for $166 CAD ($134.50 USD) since it did not appear we could do much better. The hotel ended up being the Boston Hotel as we had suspected.
