I never saw these before. I am looking for a room at the Philly airport in June and I saw a bunch of "Express Deals" being offered by Priceline. To me it looks just like the current Hotwire setup. Choose a hotel at a discounted price and one will find out what the hotel is after the purchase.

First I've heard of it. How do you access Priceline Express Deals on their website?
Please place all of your Priceline bids through our Priceline link.
Please check rates at Hotwire and make your bookings through our Hotwire link.

Hi Sheryl,

I see two listed at the top of Priceline's retail page for Philadelphia. One can click "see all Express Deals" and there were 12 more listed for June 29th. Most of the Philly bidding zones were represented.

Is this part of the Priceline app? It sounds similar to Hotel Tonight where they can only list their deals on their cellphone app but Hotel Tonight names the hotel before purchase.

I just use my regular lap top or PC at home and access Priceline like I would any other time. I have not tried it on the Droid. Express Deals are listed at the top of Priceline's retail page. I've tried random cities and they all feature this new option. It works just like Hotwire with star level, amenities, location, etc. One won't know the name of the hotel until after making a purchase.

Now I'm not seeing them listed at all for random cities. Perhaps this was an experiment? I tried a google search and found nothing.

Interesting. I have seen nothing since my post on May 28th, and this includes using Chrome, Firefox and IE.
