Stayed here one night, 7/13/04, winning bid $45. Not as nice as a 2 1/2* place we stayed a few nights earlier in CA. Might have been a fancy place once upon a time, but perhaps its quality has sunk since the airport moved (it's right across the street from where the Denver airport used to be). FREE: Parking and self-serve laundry! BEST PART: Our two-bed room had two QUEENS. ALSO NICE: downtown view (we were in room 1207). NOT SO NICE: Noisy. Train whistles, tornado-alarm test from nearby tower, street noise. Definitely older furnishings, bathroom a bit worn, the door had "sticking" problems. Also, the indoor pool needed cleaning.
If you're hungry -- the room-service menu looked GREAT -- but we didn't discover that until we had spent quite some time en route to the hotel looking around for late-night food (flew in at 9:30 pm); nothing open in the immediate vicinity except a suspicious-looking Subway in the mall where the airport used to be.
Overall, an OK place, but just "OK."
roomy updated furnishings & decor (nicer than 4* doubletree in lower manhattan)
free airport shuttle / 20 min drive / $10 parking
lobby internet / in room fee
good basic restaurant food at 9:30p
shopping mall across street
