All the major sites are showing even compact cars at $84+ per day for these dates at the Calgary airport.  When I made flight reservations through Alaska Airlines, there were prices through Budget for $29/day, but I didn't make a booking at that time unfortunately.  Currently, Hotwire's lowest rate is $46.95/day for economy.  I've bid up to $29 on Priceline so far with no success.  Priceline keeps saying there is a low chance of winning a bid this low, as the current price is $80+ per day!

I've clicked on your links to Priceline to bid.  Any advice or insight you might have would be great, thank you!

First bit of advice. Always book a cancellable backup. I would continue to bid about $20 every couple of days unless rates decrease on Hotwire, in which case, let me know their lower rate.

Please continue to bid through our link to Priceline and do not bid through a Priceline email.

Please check rates at Hotwire and make your bookings through our Hotwire link.

Thanks for the advice.  I haven't been able to find a reasonable cancellable price yet, and have bid up to $29 so far with no success.  I'll keep trying using your Priceline link.

Unless you aren't going to rent a car, it's important to book a backup even if you don't consider it reasonable because rates could always increase.
