Bidding Assistance: 4 1/2* Waikaloa 11/15/13 - 11/18/13

Resort fees are prevalent in certain zones. Keep in mind that some hotels charge excessive resort fees which you may be unable to dispute as Priceline now states on their website that these fees are your responsibility.

Since the Express Deal is higher than retail, it might be too early to bid for this but it's worth a try. I would start at $115 and raise $10 per free re-bid. In the future, please name your free re-bid zones.

Please place your Priceline/Hotwire bids/purchases through the link in my signature or by clicking the Priceline/Hotwire banners on the right side of the screen. And please keep Priceline in mind for your conventional travel bookings as well.

I don't need to see resort fees or parking. They have no impact on your bid from a strategy perspective.

Disregard that reply. The hotels you listed are 4* which are not relevant to a 4.5* bid. Please check the Hotel List which was updated last night.

The three zones on the Big Island are:
- Hilo, highest is a 2 1/2*
- Kona, highest is a 4*
- Waikaloa, highest is a 4 1/2*

Is my bidding strategy:
1) Select Waikaloa at 4 1/2*, bid $115. If rejected, rebid...
2) Select Waikaloa and Kona at 4 1/2* at $125. If rejected, rebid...
3) Select Waikaloa and Hilo at 4 1/2* at $130. If rejected, rebid...
4) Select Waikaloa and Hilo and Kona at 4 1/2* at $135. If rejected, rebid...
5) Select Waikaloa at 4*, bid $115. If rejected, rebid...
6) Select Waikaloa and Hilo at 4* at $125.

If that doesn't work then wait 24 hours and increase the bids by $5 from original bid at #1?
If Express deal comes up for a 4* $140 then take it.
I would be fine with any of the 4* hotels at Waikaloa.

Thank You so much!

You will be wasting your time bidding that low for a 4.5*. If your 4* bids are rejected, wait at least a month to bid again. There won't be a change in 24 hours.

I rebid 4* in Waikaloa and Hilo for $135. Denied.
I'll try again in a week.
I used your Priceline link.
Thanks!
