Bidding advice on 4* in Downtown Nashville

My husband and I live in the Nashville area and we'd like to book a nice "staycation" for one night in late August for our anniversary. But in order for that to be worth it to us we'd like it to be a really nice hotel for a really good rate. Otherwise we can stay at home and celebrate with a nice dinner or something.

Preferences: I thought we'd like to be downtown, but when I chose the Vandy area, Priceline opened up the option for 4.5 star hotel? I don't see a 4.5 listed on the hotel list here. Ideally I'd love to spend $100-$125. First choice on date would be 8/28, but we can be flexible and move into the week if that would be better. While we'd love to plan/anticipate the getaway, we don't have many other moving parts, so could bid up to the date if necessary.

We'd love your advice.

What is your question? As to what is the 4.5 star hotel, I'd check Priceline's retail listings.

I'm just looking for bidding advice in general. When I've used this forum in the past I thought there were suggestions like: at that price, you should probably include Vandy as well. Or it would be reasonable to start around $80 2 weeks before the date and work up. Or you'll probably have better luck on a Wednesday or Thursday night than Friday.
