Any help with a Horrible Mistake?

I'm wondering if anyone has ever been able to cancel a successsful bid. I had been bidding for two weeks for downtown Charleston and accidently put in a zone that I did not want. I initially thought that they had made a mistake, or changed the star availablility for that area overnight, but it must have been my mistake.

I've used priceline for years, I clearly understand all the rules and regulations. I am currently bidding on 3 cities and this week won a bid for two cars. I've called twice, begging, as a long time excellent customer, asking them to allow me to start over with the bid, and of course, they will not budge. This is not a small mistake that I made, it is over $700 and ruins a vacation for me and 3 others.

Just wondering if anyone has ever had any success at all with this.

Thanks for your suggestion. I've just spent the last couple of hours writing the executive offices. My computer kept locking me out, forcing me to shut down and start over. I appreciate your feed back.

Just an FYI, after quite a lovely, respectful letter, they told me that it was my mistake and I'd have to live with it. I don't even think they read the letter because I stately clearly that I knew it was my mistake!

In another forum, lots of folks said they were able to rebid by paying a small fee---any idea what the differnce might be?

Do you know if anyone has had an success with disputing the charges on their CC? I'm also going to post this question to the bidding problems message board.

I found relief from Priceline once when bidding on a room for 3 nights which turned out to be for the wrong month, July instead of August. It was my error. Priceline allowed me to rebid the same dates in the correct month, in the SAME zone and once successful to contact them. I bib and got the same hotel for the new dates. They then cancelled the earlier successful bid for the wrong month but levied a $25 fee.

This was as I recall a one time only courtesy.
