5* Seattle = Fairmont Olympic

This forum should only be used when Hotwire was able to beat Priceline for a comparable hotel since Hotwire's ratings do not always correlate with Priceline's ratings. Posts that do not meet this criteria will be removed.

$125 for Fairmont Olympic in Downtown Seattle, 12/19-12/20. I certainly could have gotten a 4* cheaper on PL... But PL bidding in Seattle is so dicey now because of the Silver Cloud at Safeco Field — A nice enough hotel, but by no stretch of the imagination is it downtown.
Anyway, I'm delighted to have a 5* for $125.  I bid through the Hotwire link on the BFT site. I appreciate the information provided.
And, Sheryl, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Thank you for using our link to Hotwire. My Thanksgiving will be complete when my Saints beat the Seahawks in Seattle tomorrow night. Why didn't you bid for a 5* on Priceline? It would have been a little cheaper.

Sheryl, I made a failed $99 bid for a 5* on PL before I purchased the Hotwire deal. Also, there was no 5* PL express hotels offered.
Can't wait to see how much The Olympic charges for parking :-)

The problem was that you bid way too much lower than Hotwire's rate. I would have started at $115 on Priceline.
