This hotel was not posted but it is what I ended up with. If you go to Tripadvisor.com, other people have rated it and have received this by bidding on a 5 star hotel on Priceline as well in the same district (it seems to be a trend). Anyway, people seem happy with it and it is only for a night, but please update the list. $79 + taxes = $95.39 (I think). OF COURSE I used the amazing-bargains.com link!

Hello Traveler,
Thanks for posting your win. Always exciting to see new hotels come up, especially in Asia.

I am a little confused on which hotel you won? On Marriott's web site I can find three Exec Apts in Bangkok:

Sathorn Vista, Bangkok - Marriott Executive Apartments
Sukhumvit Park, Bangkok - Marriott Executive Apartments
(officially not opening till Sept)
Mayfair, Bangkok - Marriott Executive Apartments
(great place! would love to stay there again, but not that close to the river)

But can't seem to find anything called Riverside Silom?

Can you help clarify? Thanks!

Sathorn Vista is the Executive Apartments. I bid on the area of Priceline where it says Riverside - Silom (Area 1) and checked off the box for a 5 star hotel. Does that make sense now? Therefore, I ended up with the Marriott Apartments Sathom Vista. Did you stay there? I actually bid for my brother. I am now flying back to the USA but we had to separate flights since I am using miles and the same date was not avail for two seats in business class.

Hi Traveler,
Thanks for clearing things up. I suspected that it was the Sathorn Vista.

I have not stayed here, but at one of the sister properties, the Mayfair - Marriott Executive Apartments. In looking at the Web site for the Sathorn Vista, the rooms look similar, but the overall property including the pool area looks a little better.

I thought that the Mayfair was EXCELLENT. After traveling in Asia for many years, I would rank the Mayfair in my personal top #3, the extra space is treat. I spent a long weekend there and enjoyed every minute! I imagine that your brother will enjoy the Sathorn and it would be great if you can provide an update once he is back.

At $79 plus fee/taxes, that is an incredible deal as well!

Spam such as the one above this is the main reason I miss Sheryl. She kept the board in tidy order even if I didn't always agree with her.

OTOH, some things are worth putting up with spam for.
