I already replied to you earlier. I removed your post since you ignored my reply (multiple comments). You have just done that again by bidding when I told you not to. I have no idea where you got the $104 amount. If you are not going to follow suggestions, please do not post here.

Hello Sheryl,
Thank you for your reply.  I was able to read your first reply to my original post before the original post was removed.  I did not get the chance to read your other comments.

I took the advice from your first reply to my original posting and provided the additional information outlined in the “Failed Bids” under the “Posting Guidelines” so my posting is conforming the standard
The $104 is the 65% of the lowest available hotel rate I listed in this post.

I understand that I am too early to do bidding for hotel.  In your experience, how long before my arrival date should I start bidding for a hotel?

Thank you very much for your help.

I don't know how you read 65% when it says 35%. As our Hotel FAQ says, there is no way to know the best time to bid. I gave you my advice based on that rate info. but you just ignored it and are continuing to so it makes no sense that you are asking for advice since you just ignore it.

I based this new post on the advices you provided yesterday and the info from the FAQ. I am working to conform to rules outlined by your forum. I am not ignoring your advices.

Thank you for the correction on the %.

As previously stated, I was only able to read your reply once and when I wanted to review it again, the post has already been removed.

I am not blatantly ignoring your advices, they have been great for many users on this forum.

It might not have been said enough, but your advices have been greatly appreciated, especially by a new Comer like myself.

Thank you.

To be fair, it's easy enough to misread 35% of the lowest available rate as 35% off the lowest available rate. The best deals in this zone are usually at the 4* level; based on the 4* Express Deal rate of $116, you could probably get one now for not much more than what you've already bid. However, based on the rate for the DoubleTree, you've already bid more than enough for a 3*; it's probably best to wait for a better deal.

Please start your Priceline bids/puchases from one of our Priceline links (the links in my signature, the "hotel keys" picture at the top, or the banner on the right side of the screen) if you're not already doing so.

Hello Tilepusher,

Thank you for your reply! I will continue to monitor the deals before bidding.

If people like to see the failed bids, please let me know, otherwise I will update this post again with the winning bid.

I will use the Priceline links posted on this website.

Thank you again for your advice.

Why did you bid higher than the Express Deal rate?
