I'm looking at bidding soon for three or four nights over the weekend in San Juan.  However, I've noticed that Fri & Sat nights are higher priced than other nights on hotels' websites.  I wonder if the higher weekend prices would bleed over to the cheaper nights on the dates that I ultimately cover on my bid causing a higher minimum bid, or if PL would just base the minimum price accepted based on the average nightly cost.

Maybe I'd be better off placing separate bids for Fri/Sat and then a separate bid for Sun/Mon and risk having to move to a different property.  Anybody have any thoughts or experience on this?

Priceline averages the rates. Don't split your bid as you'll pay additional service fees for each separate bid.

Please post your requests as a new topic rather than replying to an unrelated post.

Please place your Priceline/Hotwire bids/purchases through the link in my signature or by clicking the Priceline/Hotwire banners on the right side of the screen. And please keep Priceline in mind for your conventional travel bookings as well.

Okay, so PL averages the cost for my bid. That's excellent information Sheryl.

Thank you for coming through so quickly on my inquiry, as always. I originally posted my question as a tack-on to a previous San Juan post as to not clutter the board with a relatively unimportant query.

I'm checking in Friday night. I'll probably place my bids today or tomorrow (through your PL link of course). I'll let you know what I get!

Worked my way up from $70 using free re-bids.  Landed the Caribe Hilton for $89.  I'm quite pleased with this.  I was crossing my fingers that I wouldn't end up at an off-the-beach Convention Center hotel.

$42 in Taxes/fees. Total was $309 for the three nights.

Used your PL link on the right hand margin of this website to start my bidding, of course.
I'll try to post a review later as well, since most of the reviews for this property are quite old.
