4* Renaissance Hotel Times Square 12/12-12/18 $136

There are hotels at all quality levels in NYC that can accommodate one bed only. Very risky to bid for one room if your party consists of more than two people.
Please do not ask about this as there is really nothing else to add.

I bid on Priceline (through bidding etc)  for NYC for 12/12-18.  Finally got Renaissance for $136 plus taxes and fees for a total of $169 per night.  Priceline confirmation said no hotel fee involved.  At checkout they tried to hit us with a $28 per day Destination Fee.

Are you the same poster as travelhol?

There is nothing you can do about it.  Priceline should have informed you of the fee.  Did you actually pay it?  Even if you did, you got a great deal for your dates.

Yes.  I tried to sign on as travelhol unsuccessfully.   I refused to pay and they did not push it. I showed them the Priceline confirmation that said  Hooray - no hotel fee on this one.  However, the experience made me very wary of using Priceline bidding again.

Please only use your original screen name in the future. It was only relatively recently that Priceline notified customers of additional fees. I suspect this one is new and Priceline was not aware of it.
