Based on other postings, was expecting the Marriott to come up for this area. I have not seen this hotel referred to in other posts, so perhaps it is new to Priceline.

In any case, it looks like a decent hotel from the pictures and reviews on other websites.  Hotel's website is here: http://www.timhotel.com/en/our-hotels-d ... esentation

The total cost with Priceline's fees and such was $1,014. When I checked the hotel's website, the best available price -- 15% for pre-payment -- was EUR 746.20, which is about US $1,046 at the current $1.385 USD / EUR exchange rate. So, as far as home runs go, this was not one, and is a whole $8/night less than what I would have gotten booking direct.  The standard rate (not pre-paid) was EUR 796 for the four nights, or $1,102.

I started at $200/night and was rejected. Based on the $272/night offering on the "Express Deals" section for a 4* in Montparnasse, I immediately raised to $225 on re-bid.

Priceline has saved me a bundle over the years, so I really can't complain, although I'll admit it's a bit disappointing to clock in at a 3% savings.

I did place my bid through the BFT Princeline link, and at least I have "uncovered" another hotel not previously known to participate, and my wife, who has been to Paris many times, says this is a great area to stay in, so, we'll leave it at that.

Thank you for placing your bid through our link to Priceline. I realize this hotel is not on the Hotel List but did you check available rates before you bid because you definitely bid too much for this and is likely why we've never seen this hotel come up before (they have a very high Priceline rate).

Please update your email address in your Yuku profile if it's no longer current and please post all of your bids when you obtain them.

I checked available rates of the hotels reported to come up in the category, so based on the website rates for the hotels checked, the bid seemed to make sense. There was also a 4* Express Deal available around $272/night so I figured the same offering could be had for less via bidding.

My comment is based on the retail rate you posted which should always prevail over the Express Deal rate. That is why it is so important to not base your bid solely on the Express Deal rate as a lot of our users do.
