I know my travel dates are a ways out, but it's never too early to see if you can find deals on PL (right?).  I've been checking on and off the last week or so, using the standard rates and Express Deals as a guide of what I might be able to get via Name Your Own Price.  Until tonight, no 4* options showed up on the ED tab for SLT, CA, only for SLT, NV...and I didn't want to stay at Harrah's or Harveys if I could help it since I'll have my children with me.

However, tonight a 4* ED for SLT, CA showed up at $75.  The standard rate for the Marriott Timber Lodge (which is the only known 4* in SLT, CA) has consistently been ~$180-190/night over the last week or so and it's currently sitting at $185.  So, $75 is a great deal, but I figured I could do better via NYOP.

I started off bidding $60 and was declined.  I added a free re-bid zone (Carson City), raised my bid to $65, and it was accepted.  My total for the 3 nights is $234.84.

While I haven't stayed there before, I'm very happy with the Marriott based on the reviews and location, especially at this price.
