4* Long Beach 11/17-19 Failed $85 but Hotwire at $81 Hyatt Regency

This forum should only be used when Hotwire was able to beat Priceline for a comparable hotel since Hotwire's ratings do not always correlate with Priceline's ratings. Posts that do not meet this criteria will be removed.

It was all very fluid, Hotwire had availability at $84 (total $206) and there were no Express Deals.  So, I bid Priceline from the $60s to $85 (total $204) and did not succeed (Priceline countered at $113).  So, I went to book Hotwire, but the price dropped from $84 to $81, and I took it (total $200).  Then I went back to Priceline, and there was now an Express Deal at $85, even tho I just failed at $85.  I guess there may have been some price/inventory changes going on as I was bidding.
