2 nights Hotwire Hot Rate Room@ $138.00/night $276.00 Tax recovery charges & fees: $64.23 Subtotal: $340.23 Discount: -$25.00 Trip Total: $315.23 Busy weekend in Boston...missed a few good PL express deals earlier hoping prices would come down, but they have been steadily rising. Friday night alone had some cheaper deals, but Saturday has few options, so could not rely in the PL offer to extend one night. (bid unsuccessfully on PL before resorting to HW)

How high did you bid on Priceline for a 4* in this zone the same day as you purchased from Hotwire? Did you remember to click through our link to Hotwire? The reason Saturday had few options is the best deals for Saturday checkins come at the last minute so if you checked for 3/15 exclusively, it was considered a Saturday checkin. I seriously doubt that Hotwire beat Priceline on this. Further don't ever expect to be successful extending your stay immediately if you first bid for the full stay and were not successful.

The 4* Express Deal for these dates is currently $235 and I believe it is the Colonnade. This may be a case, like we've seen with the Revere, where Hotwire is selling inventory from a third party, rather than directly from the hotel.

I bid up to $150 per night on PL, even dropping to 3.5* but no luck. I had been checking HW and PL for a while and prices were consistently high. Perhaps PL might beat HW prices, but I am happy with my deal and that I have peace of mind. Sorry but  trying to use HW app on new phone caused me
to forget using the link. Usually I do! Thanks for the tips.
