Losing my magic touch with Priceline:(Was mindful that Express offered a 3* for my date at $136 in the area I wanted BUT tried to do better with bidding but it did not work out well
Started with 4* and all bids were refused when I offered from $100-115 through 3 acceptable areas

Then dropped to 3 * bid $90 and $110 at Lake Center and Nations respectively and both were refused
Contemplated accepting Express at $136 but instead tried 1 more bid at $122 -app 10 % under express $136 offer -and ended up with Astoria: with fees etc it was app $136
Checked Astoria website and could have had the room with tax etc for 112 sfr or about $118 US so lost on this one
Did this through BFT portal of course

Thank you for placing your bid through our link to Priceline. If the rate you paid is higher than retail, contact Priceline for a refund of the difference.

I got a room with 2 beds with my PL bid and that the rate I saw on the hotel website was for 1 bed-thus it was not the same and therefore  no refund.Re: Pl vs Hotwire: In searching for Zurich Sep 20-22 PL offers 5 Express deals but Hotwire shows about 30 offerings-with the first 12 at or under $125.
If I use Hotwire -of course accessing from here-where would I report the results on your BFT website?

You can post your results in the Hotwire Hotels forum. The Hotwire forums can be accessed from the home page; they're located between Rental Cars and Hotel Reviews. If you're going to use Hotwire, though, it's very important that you do your rate research before booking. As too many people have found out the hard way, Hotwire's advertised discounts are meaningless and often misleading. There are good deals available through Hotwire, but don't get too optimistic about how much money you'll save.

BTW, I just did a search on Hotwire, and I'm not seeing all the sub-$125 offers that you did, at least not in the areas that you were bidding for on Priceline.

If it were me, I wouldn't even consider Hotwire. The two times I've used it, I was very disappointed and we've had similar comments from others.

Sorry about that, biggerduck -- I obviously need to read more carefully. I would definitely consider using Hotwire. I haven't used it a lot, but I've had good results when I have used it. But in those cases, I was pretty sure that I knew what I was going to get, and I believe that I was right every time. Using it for European cities is tricky, though, because of the lack of knowledge we have about which hotels sell through Hotwire. Again, if you're going to do it, make sure you know your prices.

I also knew which hotel I would get. The issue was the guaranteed amenities were not guaranteed at all.
