I'm pretty sure you would have seen the Express Deal for this hotel on the website if you had checked the Express Deals from the rejection page.

Sheryl...I used the option to extend my stay by one day, which was accepted. Do you get credit for the additional day?

Tilepusher - I can say with 100% certainty that it was not in the Express Deals on the Web, only on the app. Not sure why it would be offered after bid rejection - or why I would go back after not seeing it there. Are you suggesting that the Express Deals list (or other info) changes after one places a "name your own price bid"?

Thanks for asking but unfortunately, we do not.

I'll let tilepusher expand but what he means is that sometimes the Express Deal offered following a rejection offers an Express Deal that is not offered when you check Express Deals directly.

After your bid is rejected, you're given the option of resubmitting your bid or purchasing an Express Deal in the zone(s) for which you bid. If you choose the Express Deal option, you will sometimes see Express Deals that did not appear in the inital search. In my experience, most of these are for Marriott and Hilton properties. During my latest bid (in the Portland, OR area), I saw at least four Express Deals in the rejection page that did not appear in the initial search. I believe all four were Marriott properties, including the hotel I eventually received through NYOP, the Courtyard Hillsboro. I'm not sure why this happens, but I suspect that Priceline does this at the request of Marriott and Hilton, given how often it occurs with their hotels.
