Sheryl, your referral link brought me to the list view of Key West hotels, then clicked on Express Deals.  3.5* Listed at $146/night, save 55% or more, with a guest rating of 7.0+.  No sign of Double Tree, Sheraton rated 8+, so looks like Marriott 7+ was the winner.  Is it safe to say that Express Deals reflect $3-12 above the Bid Price?  It is in my personal experience.

Either way, I went for a secure $139 bid, and sure enough, it was accepted. Image  To think: The regular rate right now is $349 + tax, = $392+!!
The Sheraton "Suites" seem to have huge rooms (508-650sq ft), as advertised, but I'm content... looks like a solid "last-minute" Saturday night deal for the Keys, in July.

Joe, this is totally unheard of for a Saturday night in Key West. Unbelieberable. The Express Deal vs. the Bid price varies but that is definitely in the correct range. By the way, for Priceline purposes, this is not last minute at all but in this case, I actually think you were very smart to take this fantastic deal when you did. I bet it won't be available at the last minute.

Yes, you did well to take this deal. This morning, this Express Deal came up at $299; when I clicked through, it increased again to $335! I've received a hotel through NYOP that was $14 less than the Express Deal for the same hotel -- and the Express Deal was only $79.

Tilepusher - I see here how you knew a NYOP and the Express Deal was the saame hotel. I saw in an earlier post Sheryl saying you can determine which hotel is which in an Express Deal. Can you share that info or do I need to ask something specific of you regarding a hotel? If so, how and where?
Thanks

tilepusher will identify an Express Deal for you when you are immediately ready to purchase if you start a new topic posting all of the information requested on the form for that purpose which is located in the same forum as the Bidding Assistance Form. It must be a specific Express Deal that is listed.  He pretty much compares the Express Deal amenities and customer feedback rating to Priceline's retail listings.  In all of the ones he's identified, he's only made a mistake once.  Great history.
