On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, I received a call at about 11:00 pm from some friends who were driving south on I-75 in Ohio, and had decided to stop somewhere between Dayton and Cincinnati for the night. They asked for my assistance in finding them a hotel along their route.
There was an Express Deal for a 2.5 star hotel in the Cincinnati North Sharonville zone, for $47.00 per night. The Express Deal had a Priceline customer rating of 8 plus out of 10, free internet, free breakfast, and and free parking. The Express Deal said this was a savings of 40%.
I have been finding that more often than not, we can save approximately $10.00, by bidding instead of just purchasing the Express Deal. However, in areas where there are more than one 2.5 star hotels, and some have a much lower Priceline customer rating than the Express Deal, I always take the Express Deal to insure that we get the better rated hotel. We therefore purchased the Express Deal.
The hotel was the Liv Inn, very conveniently located right by I-75. This hotel has a very new, modern design, was very clean, and had a refrigerator and microwave in every room. The towels were plush, the bathroom had a vanity area, and my friends were very impressed with the value for their money. They said there was a nice choice of breakfast foods, and they would gladly stay there again. The hotel had pretty good reviews on Yelp, Priceline, Trip Advisor, etc.
The Liv Inn website had a retail price of $95.00 per night.
