Hi Chris, welcome to the forum.

As you will learn, I am a HUGE fan of the LPs from South America, so I am especially happy to have you aboard. I'm guessing you collect the records from Brazil -- do you collect other South American countries?

Grazie a tutti! Thanks.

Socorro, as I found out it's nearly impossible to achive a fully complete collection :P , yes, I decided to concentrate my efforts on mainly brazilian and argentine releases. Actually, me and my wife, as she's has been a collector also and we met each other many years ago on a record fair.

I agee that it is hard to have a fully complete collection from any country. Most of the Argentina and Brazil LPs were produced in decent quantities, but there are a handful that are super hard to find. Then there is the Argentina 78 RPM single, which is one of the most prized records on the planet.

In my opinion the rarest LP from Brazil is the original stereo version of Beatles 65, with the blue Odeon label and the gold stereo sticker on the sleeve. I had a chance to buy a copy but the seller was asking $300+ for it. If I knew how long I would have to wait before I had another chance, I might have paid it.

I would love to see pictures of your favorites. I am sure many others would as well.

Congratulations on finding a wife who shares your interest. For whatever reason, record collecting seems to be an overwhelmingly male obsession.

 Big welcome from the Admiral!
I have many worldwide records in my collection. Those from South Americas being quite thin on the ground. Often it's just the postage that is prohibitive.
