Here we discuss all matters relating to travel on the west coast of Barbados.

I visited Barbados for one week at the end of July, I stayed at The Great House which was awesome. Every morning I swam down past Franklin's house but there was no Frankie in the sea. I met lots of other interesting people swimming, where were you Frankie?

What huge developments of beach side properties. One huge house is built on the King's Beach site with another plot ready for development.

I got up very early each morning and attached is a photo of a Baraccuda jumping.

Barbados is so beautiful

Hi Berthabassett,

I'm about 6 months behind your post, but thought I would stick my head in and say hello.

Love the pic of the Barracuda jumping.

Frankie could  have been off the island. I had a wonderful visit some years ago with him at Jentilla. He is just a top notch person.

I truly miss all the people that were active here.

Haven't been to Bim in years, which I hope changes soon.

Take care!!
Baxter has taken over for her pal Cleo.

Just taking a peak in and I agree with vrbllc. I miss everyone and all the chats we had in this group. Facebook has been both a blessing and a curse.  It's just occurred to me, that it has been almost 2 years since my last visit to Bim. Weddings, funerals, and new additions to the family have gotten in the way.  Barbados is our second home and missing it greatly.

Thank you both for posting. I also miss the chat and the camaraderie we had, it was much more personal and friendly than Facebook. I am still in touch with a few people I met on the forum, I hope to see Julia when I am next there.

Barbados is such a beautiful friendly place. I hope that you both visit again soon.

All the best Bertha.

P.s. I am sorry that Cleo has gone to cat’s heaven but at least you still have Baxter and I have Bertha😀

Sorry I missed you, Bertha.  I'm still around.  Cressida at The Great House has my contact information.  Next time just knock or holler.

This post lifted my spirits. I smiled when I looked at the jumping barracuda.
