Poking around my Photobucket account I came across these old si-fi builds of mine...

Mk1 Television Dalek (Comet Miniatures Kit 1/8 scale)

and Robbie the Robot from the movie "Forbidden Planet" (Polar Lights)

All you had to do was run upstairs to avoid them.

When I was a kid I had a metal battery operated Robby..it had the "D" cells in his legs, pistons in his chest went up and down and his "DF loops" spun around.
These things are worth a fortune on the vintage toy market... unfortunately my Robbie is long gone.

As a kid in the 60's I had a battery powered Dalek that used to scuttle around the floor lights flashing and when it bumped into a object turn about and trundle away in the opposite direction. A couple of years ago my wife bought me a huge radio controlled one that speaks...great for chasing the cats about !

Otherwise it must've been his cousin.

You're right Andrew, he appeared in one episode of Lost in Space with a few modifications. At one stage his hands were replaced with claws. He also appeared in the movie "The Invisible Boy" where he played the minion of a evil giant super computer.
