It looks good, particularly with the internal structure.
The thing is, I have at least 20 72nd Lancasters from ALL the manufacturers plus ONE Tamiya B.I/III so the 32nd kit could be just a little too much for me!!!!
Still, you ordered the 48th Sunderland so it might be right up your alley!
By the way, when's your next visit to Melbourne?
I've got to show you the mansion.
Cheers,
Daryl.

I'll wait till a kit comes upon ebay for $300 then ignore it!

That Sunderland will be made into an Ansett boat...that's why I took the plunge with that one.. dunno when I next visit ML...I was there a few weeks ago but only for a weekend and family commiitments were such I couldnt even get to VHC, PJs nor Hylands, still I did pig out on calamari at the Sunshine Italian Club so it wasnt a total loss!

..will definitely pop in when I can and hopefully meet a few of the boys

I'd just go and get the Tamiya kit for 100 or so bucks if I wanted a large scale Lancaster.

I just bought four copies of the first issue. For that $6 I got four white metal 1/32 scale props and eight white metal 500lb bombs.....gotta be good for some projects in the future like a 1/32 scale Beaufighter Mk II conversion or a 1/32 scale scratchbuilt Miles M20...

Lateral thinking boys......

George, the DVD is merely a "hints and tips" 20 minute thing to assist in building the model, so really just a drinks coaster once you view it once.
Fiddled around last night assembling the part 1 bits for the nose, nice accurate laser cutting for the lost part then gluing in PVC stringers to make up the rest of the structure.

Looks like this, a few stringers still to place and paint.

Cheers
