Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of finding one? I know that Aeroclub made 2 versions, but cant find anything else on them.

Cheers
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,
I am lucky enough to have scored one of these mythical beasts, (along with a mint-condition LS 1:144 RAAF P-3), at a swap-and-sell several years ago. The kit represents a SP-2H (P2V-7) Neppy with French Navy or US Navy decal options, and comprises majority light grey injection moulded plastic parts with some vac-form (cockpit, nose-cone etc) and white metal (props and undercarraige). While certainly not Hasegawa quality, (after all, it is a limited-run kit), the kit is most buildable. If you can get one, grab it!!!. I have seen the odd one on ebay but they will cost you.

They're going to go more expensive...........

I sent a PM this morning to John of aeroclub asking if he still had any in stock, He replied back a few minutes ago saying that he only distroyed the molds last week. But will have a look
if he still has any in his spares box.

D'oh only if I asked last week, but these things cant be helped.

thanks for the help anyway.

regards
Brendon

Well maybe companies like Platz might do some...seeing that the Neptune served with the Japanese self Defence forces, they might get around to doing one..or maybe the other choice might be mini wings as they seem to be releasing a heap of 1/144 kits these days (even a Grumman Tracker in RAN markings)
