Dear Becky, do you remember performing at The Kennedy Center? I was an usher there and remember you and your little sister! You, sis, and your mom were always so nice to everyone!

So nice to hear from you! Performing at the Kennedy Center was one of our favorites! It's where I opened as Annie in the 1st National and we went back again in the 3rd when Cassie (my sister) had joined the cast as Molly. Both times, the ushers were amazing to us - one of the nicest crews we ever met. Did you work with Dottie and Irv? My mom stayed in touch with them for years. We loved you guys!

I knew Dottie and Irv, but didn't usher with them. They ran the souvenier stand and coat check. Not sure where they are now. They left the K.C. many years ago. Are you and Cassie still into acting, etc.? I can't believe how many years have passed!

I've always been interested in you cause I think you were in more companies of Annie than anyone else! Did you ever get to go on as Annie on Broadway? And in which company did you have the most fun?

Cassie and I had a great time together. After the 3rd National, we played Annie and Molly again in the Chicago area for about a year as well. (I know she's my sister - but she was super cute!)

That's right - they ran the stands. I know my brothers helped them for a while too. We all really loved the Kennedy Center. Cassie and I both left the business in about '84-'85, but we both still love to sing. I stayed involved with dance and theater throughout college and I worked with several theaters in Chicago until I moved back to NJ 2 years ago. I work in education now but I still enjoy musical theater (as a performer, choreographer or audience member) as much as I can!

Hmm... You know, I think a few others were in at least 2 companies but I don't know how many were in at least 3 of the original companies. (I bet someone on this forum knows though!) I loved all of them and honestly, I'm not sure if I can name a favorite. I was lucky enough to go on as Annie 17 times while I was in NYC. In fact, my first time was my first night in the city - we didn't even have time to do a full rehearsal! It was insane but fun! I remember, they also announced me as "Sandy Becket", instead of "Becky Snyder." (My mom thought for a second, that it wasn't even me!) Luckily, we were able to pull it off but there were some small changes between the 1st National and the Broadway company - that - let's just say - kept the whole cast on their toes the whole night! Good times! (Hey this posting thing is fun!)

Thanks so much for that info. I've been a swing before so i understand the whole being on your toes thing. But that's so exciting and yes this forum is lots of fun and very informational.

And you call yourself an Annie fan?

Which Annie (on tour) had a mom in the chorus? If I remember correctly, it's an Annie you saw. This is your chance to redeem yourself, old fan
