Hey everyone!

Check out this up and coming singer from the Phillipians. Her name is Aria Clemente and she was a big winner of the WCOPA (world championship of performing arts), which Amanda Balon also participated in. These are two of her videos that I thought I would share. She reminds me a young Lea Salonga.

I thought she had big pitch problems in the first clip, which makes me wonder if she'd be as good as she is in the 2nd one if it wasn't a recording...

Thank you for sharing. She reminded me of a young Lea as well. I'd love to hear her sing more things. I really liked the Sound of Music song.

I think she has a beautiful voice. Pretty tone and still strong. Loved it! Question: My daughter (17 years old) is still looking for the right ballad for upcoming college auditions. Do you think "Climb Every Mountain" is too overdone and generic? There's not much there to show off acting ability, but it could be pretty powerful.

Hi Tina - is your daughter a Soprano or a Mezzo? In my opinion for college auditions there are better songs that show off acting ability too - Julie does awesome coaching - you should ask her as well. :0) What colleges is your daughter auditioning for?

would NOT recommend singing Climb Every Mountain. Not only is it overdone, but it is completely inappropriate for someone college aged. The Reverend Mother is an older, experienced, wise woman. No teenager/young adult could naturally impart the wisdom that she does in the course of the song. Your daughter singing it, no matter how well she performs, could end up being comical and you don't want that.

honestly, no. She should not sing climb every mountain. Besides the other reasons everyone else posted, it also wouldnt show off much of anything. I'm sure she can find something much better.

For which schools is your daughter auditioning for?

she's good with a very powerful voice, but it's true that she wasn't exactly in tune from time to time. but she will probably get better when she grows up.
i found the guy's voice beautiful though
