The small boy only smiled under his mask as Emerie abandoned her first weapon for her swords. He had to admit that it was a smarter move as the swords were better for close combat. At the same time he thought it was a foolhardy move, challenging him in his element. Close combat was what he excelled at, and he wasn't about to get bested by this girl. He used his mobility again to move in between Emerie and Malik, pushing Malik closer toward the other soldiers as he did so. The small boy spoke with a child's voice, "I'll be your opponent, and if you let yourself get distracted..." He stopped there as he used his glide step to move in close using his fists again to try and disarm her.

As the dark magic spear came rushing towards the other men, they all quickly acted. They had sensed the projectile, it was a power that even Abel hadn't developed yet. One man stepped up and moved quickly to intercept the spear, plunging his body at it before it could reach his comrades, right before it hit, he launched all the bullets from his shield in the direction the attack came from, trying to hit or kill the outside attacker. The bullets themselves moved at supersonic speeds, which was something else Abel couldn't do yet.

While that happened two of the men moved between their leader and Malik rushing towards him. Bullets that were fired from Malik's gun were easily deflected by the shield, he didn’t even see it coming when the man that was leading them drew his sword and cut through those two men as well as both of Malik's guns. His sword was sharp, terribly sharp as it cut through the metal guns as well as the two people standing between him and Malik, there was barely any resistance as his blade moved through those targets. Then in an instant the blade had been turned around and the dull edge was pressed against Malik's throat. The man had move quickly, not beyond human standards but all of this seemed like child's play to him.

He placed his right leg behind Malik's left leg and pushed with the sword to throw Malik off balance pushing him into the ground. In his other hand there was a device, given to him for this mission, one that pierced into Malik's chest and latched onto him like a leech. That device was meant to keep whatever was inside of Malik under control, they weren't even really sure what else it could do. All that the an who was now picking up Malik from the ground knew was that he had to put that on him as part of the deal. Malik himself had been knocked out from when he hit the ground. When he was picked back up a gun fell from the inside of his coat pocket, a loaded .357 magnum revolver. It was the only gun left not broken after the fight, if you can even call it that.

During the chaos that was unfolding, Abel was being attacked by Kendra. He let out a sigh as he adjusted his gun in his hand so that when it fired he could use the recoil to swing his arm towards Kendra which is exactly what he did, swinging his gun into her sword. As this happened he moved with his other arm to reach out and grab Kendra's wrist. He was trained in Sambo not to mention he could fire his rifle at close range, then there were his bullet shield. Since he had left to train he had grown better with his power, and he could, if he wanted to fire the bullets from his shield at his target, although not to the level of the soldiers behind him.

(Well, as you can imagine, the man who leapt right into the Crimson Javelin exploded violently, having played the role of Mortor Shell Catcher to a T. It was self-sacrifice, along with launching the bullets of his shield-thingy at Darrel. Fortunately, Darrel had cover, having launched that attack whilst still in the audience. Spectator seats were chewed up instead of him, though there was the odd nick from their not being designed to take quite that punishment. The Arena use to be more audience-protective back in those days. Speaking of protection, the main guy in between two minions sliced through his own men with a high-frequency vibro-blade - or something of that nature - to get at Malik and disarm him. This man - let's call him Greyfox, for now - attached something to Malik's chest. Couldn't be good, whatever it was. Darrel decided that now was the time to act, and jumped down into the arena. He landed silently, but disengaged stealth so that he could get the ninja's attention.)

Darrel: Hey, Greyfox. That guy's with me.

(He did not have his Di-Glaive on him, since that sword would probably ruin it. That meant that Darrel was basically unarmed...except for his training and abilities. Any good? Well, let's see. He started by manifesting another Crimson Javelin...and then hurling it up at a helicopter! Helicopters, even armored ones, were wonderful things. There was always the chance that he'd only put a hole in one with such an attack or miss the tail, but sending such a thing at the rotors? Spinning as they were, the nasty explosion would render that baby out of commission. That would be the K-60, by the by. Darrel had seen the snipers.)

As her sword collided with the gun, she was already preparing for the next attack. However she felt his hand on her wrist. She was better prepared for the fight. When Malik lost consciousness, Kendra knew it because there was a certain feeling that was shared over the unwanted link.

When Abel gripped her wrist, she yanked her wrist close as her boot came up to kick his knee. She could use her red blades with or without her sword so even if he disarmed her, she would still be able to fight.

"Let go," she growled.

Death ignored Darrel's words, well not early ignored as he did glance at him, but that was all it was, a glance. He didn’t say a thing, but that didn't mean that Darrel's words fell on deaf ears as Wulf just knocked Emerie's weapons away and was still standing in her way however he soon began to crack up. "You!" He pointed at Darrel while holding back a laugh. "You're in love with him?!" And then the laughter kicked in more from the small warrior, "Sorry to burst your bubble, but I think he's taken." He said between his laughs.

When Darrel through the javelin at the helicopter there was a quick reaction. "Desend!" The helicopter began to drop quickly and right when the javelin flew towards it Ryu shot it over head with his rifle, forcing its path to go above the blades. Then in that moment Death put the blade of his sword against the neck of his captor. It was in such a way that if there was even the slightest movement in the wrong direction that Malik could lose his entire head.

Death looked at Darrel. "If he's with you. Then you value his life. We're taking him with us or not at all. You already violated the rules." He spoke, his voice was crack and soft, as if he lost it. His voice might have been gone but he made sure his lips were readable. "We've nothing to lose and everything to gain. Back away." The KA-60 made its landing soon after that. And Death moved towards it with his victim in hand.

Abel moved to block Kendra's attacks, she was good, but Abel had trained for the last four years to perfect himself and he had gotten very good. He soon moved two bullets from his shield to fly right past Kendra's head. "You lost." He said as he moved so that his back pushed into her as he flipped her over his shoulder. Once her back hit the ground the barrel of his rifle was pressed to her forehead. His eyes locked onto her's, they weren't cruel or cold like Wilhelm or even like Malik. He had a warmth in his heart, something to live for. "Don't press your luck." His accent was think, and the tone of his voice was rough, like she was becoming a pain in his ass.

Death looked at Darrel, his eyes taking him in, only one of them wasn't real. "So, what's it going to be? Is he with you?" His blade pressed close to Malik's neck, a drop of blood dripping down from it.

Wulf meanwhile kept himself between Emerie and Death. He had stopped laughing and looked at Emerie. "I wouldn't push a guy ned Death. You wanna tell that guy to stop attacking the helicopters? I think Death is trying to leave quickly and on foot I can't see him carrying the whole body." Wulf was informing Emerie that of things continued to escalate that Malik's head would be separated to lighten the load. These people that were in the middle of kidnapping Malik seemed to just be hired hands, they didn't look like they worked for anything less than a paycheck, and in a way that was true for most of them.

(When Wulf busted out in laughter, so did Darrel. It was basically a case of "Wha...buh? HA HA HA HA!", being unable to contain himself there, despite the fact that this was a serious sort of moment. Though, considering the fact that Malik was Kendra's ex and that Emerie had declared her love for him, it was pretty damn funny! Still, during this moment, the K-60 had made the wise move of...well...moving, and having the Javelin shot. The trajectory couldn't be altered, because it was a sniper round against an energy force, but a sniper round IS a pretty nasty bullet. It detonated the Crimson Javelin prematurely and anyone close enough would be treated to the conflagration of its explosion. Funnily enough, if the sniper had had to shoot a Shadow Spear, you'd find two halves of a sniper bullet lying on the ground and the Spear's energy spent. In any case, Death was threatening Malik's neck with a blade once the laughing bit was over.)

"If he's with you. Then you value his life. We're taking him with us or not at all. You already violated the rules."

Darrel: Rules imply fairplay, and so far nobody's shown any of that to me.

"We've nothing to lose and everything to gain. Back away."

(This was a problem. There was something in that guy's voice that said 'unhinged'. Nevermind that he was dangerous. Lots of people were dangerous. He actually looked like he might be crazy. It's funny, he could have this situation resolved by letting Malik die, but that would disappoint Kendra, who was - by the by - kind of occupied herself. That wasn't any good. If this was just some guy, Darrel might be tempted to get at Death through him, but it wasn't the case.)

Darrel: Very well. Call off your dogs. If he dies, though, you will follow.

The happenings around her didn't gain her attention. Because of now being link to Malik, she knew he was alive. That was enough to no bothering watching the other fights. She knew Darrel would be alright and Emerie was damn good as well.

She gasped as he threw her over his shoulder and onto the ground. Then he did the one thing that was sure piss her off. He put a gun to her head. She glared at him, her dark eyes turning a deep purple. Kendra was getting tired of guns being pointed at her head.

"Don't press my luck? Don't press your own luck. You don't know me."

Just like that Kendra faded from view. She didn't just turn invisible. She flat out left the world and appeared in another one.

When she appeared back on Earth, she was behind Abel with a curved blade. Time flowed differently in Pixy then Earth so she had the time to grab a knife. She placed the knife at a angle at his back. All she had to do was thrust and it would slide into him. It wasn't a kill shot but it would hurt him.

"I'd hate to see your niece and nephew cry because you're hurt or dead."

Stella was on her laser tag team and had told her about Abel's return and the excitement the twins had with him.
