We had a great presentation at the last club meeting.
Max and Don Wallar presented their F3A models, what makes them so precise, how they are constructed and explained how the flight "pattern" is flown and judged.
While F3A is flown with specific aircraft, it does not mean that you can't practice these maneuvers with your current aircraft. Making the maneuvers deliberate and precise takes practice and builds skill. And the best part, as was emphasized in the meeting, it will make you a better pilot overall.
At the conclusion we asked the members what topics they would like to hear about at the next club meeting.
The following options were raised. Please vote or provide your comments on the following subjects,or perhaps suggest your own.
How to Store your Batteries:Tips and tricks on battery storage and discharge
Collecting and Interpreting Battery Data: How to collect and interpret battery statistics for longer life
Parallel charging Do’s and Dont’s: How to safely parallel charge your batteries.
Flight and Battery Logging for Android Phones: How an Android phone app can help you log your flights, indicate battery use and abuse, and when to service your models.
Would like to see how to get into FPV and UHF control.
Hope we'll see it in future meetings!
