Hi Warren.

You are more than welcome to come and fly with us for an evening before deciding to join our club. Hopefuly you will like it and decide to join.

I'm sure you will find all the guys at the indoor site a friendly bunch.

Please make an effort to meet and say hello to Dave Gambell, he looks after the indoor events. He is very knowlegable and is one heck of a nice guy. He can explain to you how the indoor flying rotation works and will make sure you get a few chances to fly.

Thanks, and if you have any questions, please do not heistate to ask.

Thanks Max.

Since I posted the question, I had to send my radio back to Horizon Hobby in the U.S. for a warrenty repair. God only knows how long that will take?

It's the E-Flite CP Pro. When I move the throttle trim adjustment the bird fires up to full power, shuts down and fires up again. This is with the main throttle at zero. It scared the @$($&#$ out of me watching it hop around the room. I waited out 3 of these malfunctions before I got over to the heli to unplug it from the battery.

Pinnacle Hobby suggested that I email the info to Horizon Hobby and ask for a replacement radio be sent to them and then I could just swap it, but Horizon wanted it back for a warrenty repair. I paid $12 in freight to send it to them and had to give them my credit card information so that they could bill me the freight to return it to me when it is fixed. I also sent back a twitching servo to see if they will replace it.

It would sure be nice to have a repair depot somewhere in the GTA.

Hi everyone...

I'd like to join the club, as I am a heli pilot, having been flying for 3 months now at the local parks. I have a Blade CP Pro, Blade 400, and a eSky Belt-CP. I recently joined the MAAC but have not belonged to any clubs before. My question is about flying at the field, and also indoors over the winter, and what I need to do to be able to do so. I know for planes there is the wings program, and you must have your wings before you are allowed to solo, but how does this work for helicopters, and is it too late this year to do so?

I also have a HobbyZone Super Cub (foam) that I'd probably fly at the field as well...

Thanks

Rod

Welcome to the forum Rod. To join the club go to the home page and down load the Amac form and bring it with you on Monday or wensday evening. Just show up at the feild on Monday or Wen evening after 4:00pm There are always at least one instructor there if not 3 or 4 heli guys. You dont need 'Wings' for heli's but we do have a 'Heli pad" for practising with an instructor like "Park' or 'Mack' The only requirment for either outdoors or inside is to bring your Heli. It is always best to mention to someone your skill level before taking flight, so other's can give you some free time. Max the "presidenta'e is also an instructor. as far as the fixed wing AC goes. There you will require intruction and work towards aceiving your wings before you can fly without supervision. For this you want to be at the feild on Wen night after 4:00pm

Hope this helps.

Thank you Trevor...

I expect I'll be at the field tomorrow after work, weather permitting...

I appreciate your response...
