I voted for 1/72 and 1/76 figures. When you're a kid it doesn't matter if the figure is a little bit bigger; now I don't care for that, either.
Some figures are rather old, say: ACW Confederate Infantry, ACW Union Infantry, ACW Artillery, Commandos.
I knew a second mould for the Commandos, better than the first (I have these soldiers in my collection), but Airfix whitdraw it, I don't know why.
Others are really awkward: the bases of the horses... My! I couldn't stand some of them in all my childhood!!
Others, I may say, are simply brilliant: WW2 German Infantry and Afrika Korps, Japanese Infantry (I spend many, many hours thinking about that guy that is running, rifle in the air... It was the first to die, of course), US Marines, Australian Infantry, Waterloo figures...
I think Airfix Figures Range is good, better even than Esci's Boxes that in some case merge soldiers of two countries (!).
