There was a link somewhere (Britmodeller I think) to the instructions on the Revell site. There is indeed only one option, but the instructions claim it to be 43 Sqn (IIRC), and it's actually from 1 Sqn.

I dug mine out for a Hawker family photo and found her unrigged. Must be losing it as I decided to change that:

All very nice builds, here is mine and I too went for a retro look in the pics. This was also my first attempt at a wood grain effect on the propeller blade, I used an oil artists paint.

It's a great little kit and you have done a good job especially the prop! It deserves some rigging now

Manufactured in 1973, I bought this old Mathbox kit as a job lot with a Gloster Gladiator and is my first attempt at a bit of rigging, (I've built the odd Bi-plane before but never attempted to 'rig'!) For a 43 year old kit it's excellent! Even the transfers still 'worked'! Used the only thing I could find in the house for the rigging which was some silvery blue thread. Will look for an alternative next time, as thread seems to be a little 'hairy'

Tomorrow belongs to me...

Still a nice little build, (hairy rigging and all).

Great little build :clapping:

There's a couple of ways to go to add rigging, firstly is stretched sprue, second very fine fishing line and lastly Uschi 'Rig That Thing' thread, .001" and .003" suitable for 1/72 scale rigging.

The Matchbox bi-plane kits were little gems. I did my Fury in Republic of Spain markings. As far as I can tell, they only had three of these. They were modified with a more powerful engine and cantilever undercarriage. I added a basic interior and changed the undercarriage, the rest is OOTB.
