Airfix 54mm versus Historex "1/30"

Yeah, I'd always presumed that the British rifle regiments were all issued with Bakers too.

I was always told that an "Nmm" figure was modeled on someone 6'0" (1828.8mm) tall. So if our "54mm" figure was only 5'6" they'd be 12/11 of the aledged scale height of 1/33.86, or actually 1/31.04 scale.

Baker was the maker of one type of rifle, others made by different gunsmiths made the 'Baker Pattern' - very similar but not exactly the same
It was the same with most weapons

That's why I wouldn't go by the size of the figure fred - too many variables
