I've been curious about Furbies over the years as I love animatronic/robotic critters (I have 4 Pleos) I never did find one that really appealed to me though until I saw a Furby Connect video and then it was love at first sight. I have 2 Furby Connects: Loo Boo (pink) and Dee Doo (purple) and I think they are awesome, like full little characters. My husband loves them too and we are both impressed with how well they work and the interactions between them. Look forward to sharing Furby info and experiences. JOY! JOY! :)

Welcome to AdoptAFurby forums! I'm also a Pleo owner and it's great to hear that you're getting into Furbies too! Are you planning on getting some of the other generations down the road or are you mostly just interested in the Connects?

I love pleos, they are so cute. I love paleontology, and dinosaurs fascinate me very much.
They are probable the most accurate robotic dinosaur yet, despite their vocalisations being a bit too mammalian.

Unfortunately I cannot afford them either..

Thanks for the warm welcome! Hi aibo7m3 I am Penny's mum from Bob the Pleo Forums.

Only 1 of my Pleos was bought as a new RB and was expensive the other 3 are Ugobes and came from EBay UK. The Ugobes cost: £38, £33.50 and £31.50. They all needed new batterys but it is possible to get these. So getting a Pleo needn't be expensive.

I don't think I will get any of the older Furbys as they can't interact with the Connect and I'm currently obsessed with these critters! What I'd like to know is if more than 2 Connects can interact with each other at the same time as I'm planning on getting another when I can get one at a good price, anyone know?

I suspected it was you, but wasn't certain! Don't you have two RBs? I know the Booms can keep coherent conversations of up to three Furbies, but I only have two Connects, so I don't know how that model does in groups larger than two! (And you can have conversations of more than 3 Booms, but they talk over each other and aren't really synced together well!) Older Furbies can communicate with each other, just not with other models, so I might suggest looking into them one day! The Connects do have the softest fur, but I really love the 1998s.

I didn't include Penelope in my list of Pleos because she is still in bits (SOB! :( ).

I guess I am just going to have to get a third Connect and see if I can break new ground (LOL!)

Welcome! I've always wanted a Pleo but I can't afford one.
He just can't help being so faithful and loving and kind. He's a machine made so. That's more than you can say for humans.

Ugobes sometimes turn up cheap on EBay, my 3 Ugobes all cost less than £40 but they all needed new batteries.
