Just a short idea. If any GM gives a fk, I could probably work out entirely balanced class.

1. Tamers = ranged fighters. This would mean there should be bows etc coded in for ranged fight.

2. Tamers could have cool pets they can summon. (1 pet at a time of course) Pets with extra skills/spells other than the regular charmable mobs. Maybe even consider removing charm spell from other classes entirely.

3. Tamers would be very poor in melee combat, but deal large amounts of damage from distance (use pets as meatshield for instance).

Anyway, ranged class would be fun. New class would require bunch of new stuff to be coded tho, so I might have just wasted 3 minutes writing this.

I'm just sayin'.

Ive seen ranged combat put into an "AoW" code, was pretty nifty, they had it where the arrow would "lodge" into you, making blood trails and damaging you per tick until you had someone with the right class to remove the arrow. Was nifty :>

Yes I remember that from a long time ago. I had a amazon name Harliquin. I would team up with a ranger for haven and have net traps setup or with an illusions for walls since you could fire over the walls.
