Absolutely.  Install the games on your new computer, then copy over your dksports-data folder (which contains all of your seasons/logos/photos/etc.) and you'll be all set.

Mister Pibb and others ...

My old computer is just giving out. It's nine years old and just doesn't operate as smoothly as before.

I've bought all of the newest derivations of Dave's games over the years utilizing them in a standalone file up until the last 2 years or so.

So under Dave Koch Basketball 2009, I might have a couple or 3 seasons stored. Under 2010 , I might have a couple of more. It turns out it's my entire collection.

I have started keeping the newest ones in the dksports-data folder file, but I'm wondering if I can go back and switch individual seasons from one to another? Basically, could I switch the league files from an 09 version or a 10 version or others onto my new computer.

And once I do that, how would I go about switching from one computer to the next?

Sorry for the novice questions, but hopefully you or others can help me out.

Tim G.

Hi Tim - The Season files are not version-dependent (even if you have them stored that way) - they will work with all game versions.  By transferring all of your season files to the dksports-data seasons sub-folder for each of your games (for example, dksports-data\basketball\Seasons), you will be able to access all of them from your new computer.  Simply install the game(s) on your new computer, make sure you have all of your season files in the dksports-data folder on your old PC, then copy that folder to your new PC.  This was the whole intent of Dave introducing the dksports-data folder a few years ago for all of his games...this way, you wouldn't have to worry about moving files around from an old version to a new version - all seasons, photos, logos, etc. are consolidated in one folder for each game...plus it makes it easy if you get a new computer.

Hope that makes sense - any questions, just let me know.

Mister Pibb:

Thanks for your help.

One extremely basic question ...

How would I go about switching seasons from one of my season disks to the data file?

thanks,

tim

Tim - Just copy each season folder (BK2015, for example) from wherever you have them stored to the dksports-data\basketball\Seasons folder.  Then, when you open the game and click on Active Season, all the seasons you copied will be displayed in one place in the dksports-data\basketball\Seasons folder.

Sounds easy enough, even for somebody as keyboard challenged as I am.

thanks,

I'm also trying to put all my action pc games on my new computer but am having trouble putting it on. I bought the new 2017 nfl game with the 2016 season but wouldn't install on my cpu after I tried to unzip the files. Maybe im doing it wrong im not sure but could someone just walk me thru the steps of installing the games again? I may have made a mistake or error doing it.

Thanks,
Doug

1)  Your original purchase email will have the link.
2)  If when you bought the game you were logged into your account, can go to order history and download it from there.
3)  Contact support at service@dksports.com.  If they have proof you purchased, they will provide another link.
