I want to set out on a daunting but fun project, it may take my whole life. But I'd like to do an entire NHL replay from about mid-50's up to present, or at least up through the mid 90's. I'd really love to utilize the program's ability to keep both career stats (via the encyclopedia) and also all-time records. I'm not quite sure how to go about this, how to organize my seasons so that only my 'final' version of each season is counted. I do a number of test seasons on each year's disk until the ratings are to my likeness, so I want to discard those test seasons obviously for the purposed of career stats and records.

If anyone has any pointers I'd love to hear it. Thanks. I've done one season so far but I'm working on the disk for season 2 and I think I'm ready if I knew how to make sure the career stats and records are kept.

For your test seasons, under Rules > Misc, make sure the "Include League Records In All-Time Record Book" box is unchecked - that way nothing will be added to your all-time records.  Then, for your 'final' version, make sure you check the box before you start the season.  As for the Encyclopedia, you just add the seasons you want to it, so no need to worry about any data being automatically added for your test seasons.
