marylandjoe, follow these steps...

1 - Start the game and select Tools > Application Folders > Courses

A new window will open with all of your courses listed.

2 - Double-click on Pacific Beach  to open the course folder (or any course you wish to add color to).

All the holes and other course information will be in this folder.

3 - Select "Hole 1" and right-click on it.

4 - Choose "Open with >" and then select "Photos" (Photos is part of Windows 10 but I believe it's on Windows 8 as well).

The Photos program will open with the Hole 1  image showing.

5 - At the top of Photos there is an option to "Edit and Create". Click on that and select "Edit" from the menu that appears.

A new window opens with the Hole 1 image. On the right side you will see two tabs, "Enhance" or "Adjust".

If you click on the "Enhance Your Photo" option under the "Enhance" tab, a white bar appears in the middle of the "Enhance Your Photo" menu image on the right side, and you can drag that left or right to your liking and see the changes to your photo as you slide it around.

For better color control click on the "Adjust" tab, which opens some new choices below, Light, Color, Clarity, and Vignette.
Light changes the brightness of the image.
Color changes the saturation (this will make your images look much more colorful and vibrant).
Clarity will sharpen the image.
Vignette adjusts ONLY the edges of the Hole image, making the border lighter or darker, and isn't really of much use for this.

6 - Adjust the image to your liking and then choose "save" on the bottom right (this will overwrite the original Hole image with your new, more colorful one). Repeat this for all 18 holes and that's it.

Sounds like a lot but it's really pretty easy once you do it a couple of times.
