As you may or may not be aware, WAFF has recently been targeted by an Internet scam artist, Turkdude. Turkdude uses many different aliases (Erik Creed, Peter Williams, etc.), we are pretty convinced at this point that we are dealing with someone named Mehmet based in Stockholm. Another login name he has used in the past is etojoy.

Most of what he does online appears to be questionable and/or fraudulent ebooks (here is an example of one), however we are aware that he has also defrauded individuals for not insignificant amounts of money in the past, usually in the guise of creating a joint venture or becoming shareholders in certain websites.

Should he contact you in anyway we would STRONGLY ADVISE CAUTION on your part, remember if it sounds to good to be true it always is...especially on the Internet. We are aware he has approached at least one member of WAFF looking to do business. If you wish, you are welcome to forward any email exchanges you have/had with him to waffmail@gmail.com, as WAFF Management is working with the victims of his fraud at other websites to assist them in recouping of their loses.

What was that forum where there was a long thread on this bitch boy scamming people?

No matter the era, whichever the society, people always gaze at the stars when young. Then they stretch out their hands and try to catch them. And then one day, they realize their arms are not long enough to catch the stars, and thats when they grow up.

Thnx Coalde for the warning.
I had personally read the thread.
This said, all WAFFers should heed to the advice in your title post :

"we would STRONGLY ADVISE CAUTION on your part, remember if it sounds to good to be true it always is...especially on the Internet."

Good luck all, Tay.

I don't mean to sound disrespectful or anything, but isn't this warning a little bit of an over reaction? I feel like you're giving him too much attention

Perhaps...but then again it would be a real bitch for a petty Internet scam artist if there were lots of links on the Internet highlighting that a certain individual was a fraud, don't you think?

Now call me crazy but this is just something that's been stirring in my mind lately...

I'm gonna guess that "these people" that are banned permanently and told never to come back, but
come back to mess with everyone, don't have friends outside the "internet."

I know i know.... Duh captain obvious!!

It's just weird and really sad to see people beg or throw hissy fits because they're no longer welcome here, where
they actually thought people give a damn about what they had to say.
