I noticed at another forum, someone trying to draw a parallel between a superstorm:
Scientists warn California could be struck by winter 'superstorm'

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookou ... superstorm
And a global flood. In the article above I see no mention of the whole Earth being flooded, and even with 40 days of rain, the article says "The scientists built a model that showed a storm could last for more than 40 days and dump 10 feet of water on the state."

10 feet of water. That's a lot of water, but Mount Ararat is much higher than 10 feet.

The lengths that apologists will go to try to make a case, for myth.

--------------------------------------

I don't think that will happen in CA.

Off the top of my head, being science minded;
#1 As far as Mt Ararat and the flood of Noah, technically it seems impossible unless all the continents were one mass at that time and and abnormal gravitational forces to place at that time. Or where did all the water go after the flood?

#2 Or another scenario could be; The mountains on land and valleys in the oceans where not as extreme as today + the atmosphere could have held more H2O then today. Making the flood of Noah a simple scientific fact. But then earth quakes under the flood would have had to happen while Noah was in the ark to disperse the water and re-expose the land again.

#3 A more likely scenario I think would be; The earth had a thinner crust then today. And there was much more H2O in the air because of the heat of the thin crust, and the earth had shallower oceans and not as tall of mountains. Then sun spots became dormant and the atmosphere of earth slightly cooled. Depositing mass amounts of rain water. And as the Ark of Noah was afloat, the thin earths crust heaved and hoed and thickened creating higher mountains and deeper valleys in the oceans.
Therefor making the flood of Noah scientifically logical.

I like my #3 explanation best of all. And it's even somewhat Biblical.
Genesis2:6
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

A thin earth crust would explain the MIST in Gen 2:6.

WOW #3 would make a cool Bible movie!

What do you think Mondo?

Do you think #3 is scientifically possible Mondo?

Is it is a myth.

There was a local flood. After wards a story was made up about a boat and a man.

A story made up by the priesthood to frighten and manipulate the people.

A global flood is an impossibility. A boat with all the animals on it is an impossibility.

The word "impossibility" in a place where "infinity" exists is impossible Mondo

Your thinking inside the box my friend

It was impossible for man to fly, or go to the moon because of thinking in the box.

Sorry, I know you hate being wrong Mondo

Why would they make up a story when its one big lie? Don't you think they knew "Thou Shalt Not Lie?".... As you claim those people had no integrity or care for the Commandments. Hmmm I must ponder....

There are logical impossibilities, even within infinity.

But...
Not without quite a bit of reconstructive surgery.
A procedure which should never be taken lightly...
And, will likely require years of psychological counselling.

Yes, Mondo, with infinity and also with basic life beginning on its own.

And think of this Mondo. If life came to earth from somewhere else, then where did that life come from, and where did that life also come from????....

Does the Big Bang theory explain life forms? No.

Can science create a bubble that can sustain life? No.

Then the universe must be a paper weight on David Copperfield's desk!

Love ya Mondo
