.

When we sit down, relax, take a deep breath, and examine God; its characteristics; its alleged feats, we will find God an abstraction; a concept; an idea; a meme.

The bible then, is not God's word, it's a collection of concepts; ideas; memes, of human origin, meant to convey the untangible.

The bible, like most, if not all, ecclesial books, tales about cosmology, anthropology, ontology, philosophy and so on, with a lot of opinion in between - that's about it really.

When dealing with abstractions
one should treat them as such
if not, one is mistaken, dishonest
or ...... but let's not go there .....

Lets start with God since we did literally start with God....

Are you saying you dont believe in any God? Yes/No

Are you saying you dont believe in any creator?(Not necessarily God)Yes/No

Do you believe the universe happened by accident? Yes/No

Are you saying you dont believe in any God? Yes/No

No, I don't believe in any god.

Are you saying you dont believe in any creator?(Not necessarily God)Yes/No

If by "creator" you mean "an intelligent entity that created the Universe", then no, I don't believe in a creator.

Do you believe the universe happened by accident? Yes/No

No, I don't believe the Universe happened by accident. For the same reason I don't believe that it's an accident that a ball falls to the ground when you drop it.

Since your opening statement and the 3 questions following it contain fallacies, I have an idea as well ...... let's also start trying to avoid committing fallacies. Fair enough?

Who or what dropped the ball that started the universe?

I only want to find out where you are so I can refute or agree with you....

You rubbish God and the bible yes but are you rubbishing all Gods or only the God of the bible?

Seems like reasonable questions to me...

Sorry, but that's a strawman argument. Who said the Universe started from nothing? I didn't.

Who or what dropped the ball that started the universe?
Is that, who or what started "God"? .. is as good a question as who or what started the Universe.

It seems that there is something (or someone), that was uncaused, that is self existent.

I am where the content of my opining post indicates where I am on "God" and the bible.

I don't 'rubbish' anything, not in discussion/debate anyway, because that would mean I'd be committing a fallacy.

Fallacies are never reasonable, that's why they are known a such.

You're welcome.............
