One!life > I call'd one day to ask,
How the internet could be free at the Libraries.

(Because I was wondering why
(my internet provider-our phone company),
Couldn't offer us it the same way the Library does.
Because we can't get on the internet,
without go'n through a provider and I thought,
that would be a better bet to stop all the hack'n,
if they provided all the protection,
be'ns we connect through them, to use the internet.
The hackers would be stop'd that ways, at the providers,
before they even got to our computers to put a stop to them. )

And the Lady told me that it's not free.
The residents pays an edvlorem tax (to the countries)
and the Library gets a percentage of that,
and that is how we are able to use the internet at the Libraries!

I recently went to a library
that I used to go study at
and do homework when I was going to school.
There was a study area of private desks
that I used to always use all the time
and if I recall from memory,
there was about 20 of these.
It was nice and quiet
and had no distractions.

A few weeks ago
I went to check the old Library out
and was disgusted with what I saw.

They had replaced the old study area
and there was no longer
a private study area.
They now had round tables
in the middle of the library,
which was simply being used
for socialization.
The old private study area
where you used to study at,
was now stuffed with computers.
It's also where you are now supposed
to go when you want to look up
the card catalog when you want
to look up a book.

Every computer was occupied
with a person

How the uck is this allowed?

Pretty soon the books will be gone. Maybe some of the space will be taken up by T.V.s.

It's a shame, but our library tax is atax I no longer support.

We also have a county hospital tax I don't support. Our healthcare is just another form of homocide only with no punishemt for the perps.

I still pay the library and hospital tax. However, I have and continue to lobby very hard to limit computers and continue in the purchase of quality books for our libraries.

I have done and continue to do the same for our school system. It is unfortunate that math, writing and the sciences have fallen so far behind in the U.S. The continued use of calculators and computers in math classes is an absurdity.

My belief is computers have, and perform, a invaluable service. However, they appear to be a end all solution to thinking.

As for the U.S. healthcare system - it is only equaled in corruption, money grubbing and lack of concience by our U.S congress. The third leading cause of death in the U.S. is doctors and hospitals. More people are killed every year by U.S. healthcare than auto accidents and guns combined. Really! Stop and think about being charged $200.00 for a 20 minute visit where the so-called physician doesn't even look at your health history and all you leave with is a prescription for a expensive dangerious chemical. The AMA controls the requirements for a person to become a M.D. and the cost is so expensive that few americans can afford, or are willing to do it. ONLY IN THE U.S. The malpractice insurance claims are another fraud. The AMA owns and runs the malpractice insurance company. Less than 1 out of four mal-practice suits ever go to court. UNTIL WE HAVE A NATIONAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM I AM AGAINST ANY TAXATION FOR HEALTHCARE. And remeber the U.S. Congress is trying to steal every dollar we have paid into medicare which is OUR money.
