They (The Romans) Crucified him...
-- Because he was a Political Insurgent.

That's why they wrote on the titulus...
-- "King of the Jews".
THAT was his Crime.
And...
THAT is WHY he was Crucified.

But...
The Good News, Nucc...
Is that...
With a little help from his friends...
-- He Survived.

It is clearly explained in John 10, that the chief priests and Pharisees feared that Jesus, with his relatively large following, might do something which would cause the Romans to kill all the Jews. The chief priests and Pharisees plotted to kill Jesus, saying that one man will die to save all the Jews(from being killed at the hands of the Romans).
One would think that the Romans would not be angered by a man who preached "love your enemy", so one must speculate on what Jesus might have been tempted to do with a large following, which would so anger Rome that it would kill all the Jews.

I don't see it there, TS.

I see how they didn't understand what he was saying...
And, how they wondered if he was saying he was the Messiah.

I see that the Jews were divided about their opinions regarding Jesus.
I see that some of them were ready to stone him for "blasphemy".
And, I see that, although they tried to seize him...
He managed to avoid their grasp.

But...
I don't see how...

Care to shed a little clarification...?

(Perhaps I should have turned the page. Duh!)

For those who might be interested...
The passage in question is...
-- John 11:45-57

And, that is precisely what should have been expected...
- From the False Priests of Jerusalem.

Jesus was gathering followers by the thousands...
Not including women and children...
The NT Texts mention...
-- Five Thousand [Matthew 14:21]
-- Four Thousand [Matthew 15:38]
And...
-- Three Thousand more. [Acts 2:41]

Being the legitimate "Priest/King"...
-- By virtue of the lineages of his parents...
Jesus was spreading the word among the People that...
-- The "Kingdom of God" Was Close at Hand. [Mark 1:15]

And, in Jerusalem...
The "Seekers after Smooth Things"...
-- Had Plenty to worry about.

As the Legitimate, Zadokite High Priest...
-- Jesus was getting ready to Reclaim the Temple.
And...
As the Heir to the Throne of David...
-- Jesus was getting ready to Reclaim the Nation.

So, it's entirely understandable that Political Machinations...
Would rise against him...
Among those who stood to gain...
By not stirring the pot..
With contention and revolt.

...that such a clearly stated reason for Jesus' execution, has been completely missed by millions of people who read the bible continually. This is the reason why an honest scholar must lean more heavily on the overall story, than on specific verses. The overall story is the context in which all included text must be rightly divided, so that we can hold on to that which contributes to the overall story, and reject that which conflicts with, or contradicts the overall story.

So the Rev Fraud eisegetes that Christ was an Essene political insurgent. Tell me what you KNOW about the Essenes Rev. Show me where from the Scriptures or any viable historical document that Christ was a political ESSENE INSURGENT ACTIVIST.

Also, after you find out you have no viable resource. Read Matthew 12:1-14
