Yes, an invitation has been posted at John's.

I feel remiss in that so few evangelicals post here, apparently it is my fault. So I have issued the above invitation, from the heart -- at John's forum for evangelicals to come on over, that they are allowed and furthermore WELCOME!

So please, if they come over, be kind and gentle as you are to all.

Thought I had better copy/paste the post over here, as it might disappear over there. I have seen one of Arthur Dent's posts mysteriously disappear over there. Raptured, most likely.

It seems that I have been accused of being unfair as there are not that many true Christians posting there. Just wanted to remind you all that you ARE ALLOWED to post there, and are in fact WELCOME to post there!!

peace
the dark ages?

The massive destruction of the contents of the Library of Alexandria by Christians during the reign of Christian Emperor Theodosius in 391 C.E. is only a small part of the suppression and elimination of scientific and historical truth. During these years the writings and works of many remarkable women were destroyed, allowed to be lost, or deliberately eradicated; only hints remain, a verse here, a few sentences there. Most of the works of Hypatia were ravaged as well, but her story lives on. How it must have pained her, 21 years old, watching the destruction of the Great Library, a half million tomes representing the finest minds in the ancient world. Hand written, these documents were irreplaceable; the knowledge lost, the history destroyed and eliminated, was a devastating setback. It was also precursor to the dark ages, a time when only the church fathers retained knowledge. What audacity the church had, claiming the role of preserver of ancient knowledge when the only knowledge they preserved was that which they chose not to destroy.

Zombie Jesus who sort of came back from the dead...

Away in a graveyard, a stone overhead
The zombie lord Jesus is raised from the dead
The bones and the corpses are at his command
And rise like their master to swarm o'er the land!
The women are screaming, then running away
Poor Mary and Martha are gnawed where they lay
I fear thee, lord Jesus, your curséd undeath
With worms in your bowels and rot on your breath.
Have mercy, lord Jesus, don't eat me today
Next year I'll be bigger, I promise! I pray
Some shaman or rabbi or priestess or such
Will stake you and save us from your deadly touch.

No one wants it, it would be the failure of mankinds highest aspirations to fall back into that pit of ignorance that was when mindless superstition reigned supreme.

Compared to a rampaging theism, acceptance of people loving people as nature instructed them to is a big A++.

Socialism, something to admire.

You guys killing people just because your book of lies has written things are abominations is just pathetic.

I dont fancy interacting with the gay life myself, but I've had friends who .... well thats the way they were made. Its like you railing against having two arms, or being heterosexual yourself. Could you go against your programming in that area? Neither can they.

It could be worse, they could be theistic, I cant find any good excuse for that Nucc. If they were like you, they couldnt be my friends.

for most of us, these sort of taunts are water off a ducks back. I feel the same about most muslims as well. Most of them OK, but if they act like you, lets ban them.

In short, mankind should fear your religion ever getting a toe hold of power ever again. Your own constitution hopefully enshrines that horror.

if you go go most churches you see the grumpy ole ladies, not the grumpy ole men:

its women who keep religion alive so they can have enough strength to endure a world of men who ruin everything they touch:

bye grumpy old men

I do love you guys,

you are all a hoot
every day is a new day to die to the old and live to the newness of life
