Recent findings state that the doctrine of atheisum (sp?) is a failed one. The people who practice it and the countries who promote it are found to disregard human rights and existence and have no positive agenda, living by mis-information, control and repression of the masses. As for the individuals, they are found to be more nerotic, paranoid and without peace.

Under the guise of being righteous, no less... How many times will we be forced to watch this horrible re-run?

Unlike religions, which require sumptuous global headquarters - paid for by their duped victims - atheism and its close relative, agnosticism, have no 'doctrines' to tout and therefore do not need sumptuous global headquarters paid for....etc.

Atheism attracts people who prefer to think for themselves and may accept that which their reason finds attactive. An honest stance, a reasonable person would agree, especially when it is realised that they have never started a war. No entrance examination, no joining ritual, no robes, no elaborate buildings in which children are abused. Atheists follow the evidence of proven fact and will discard such when improved or superceded by further discovery. Atheists walk the path of peace and tolerance - never meeting religionistas who all claim to walk it.

Compare and contrast religions world wide with their constant unproductive displays of public lamentation, futile gestures held because they are said to be ancient, all for what - exactly?
Religious reasoning - a contradiction in terms - boils down to 'antiquity equals authenticity' but cannot prove it, prefering to focus on, in the case of Christianity, barbaric treatment designed to inflict the greatest suffering.
Ah yes, we must have regular liberal doses of the suffering. You are doomed unless you do as we say so - because we say so.

First off, which recent findings?

Secondly, what "doctrine of atheism" are you talking about? There is no atheistic doctrine. Atheism is devoid of content. If disbelief in imaginary friends is a doctrine, does that mean not smoking is a habit?

Is not collecting stamps a hobby?

Examples?

Kansan said: As for the individuals, they are found to be more nerotic [sic], paranoid and without peace.

Do you have any tangible evidence to back up that statement?

No?

Didn't think so.

And for that, I am extremely grateful." -- Professor Stephen Hawking, cosmologist
