would be interested to know what the off ice actions were.

it's really hard to tell where the contact took place, but sure looks like he stuck a knee out to me. In fact, after watching the video a few times i always seemed to notice Schmidt's knee sticking out more than anything.

Kramer and Schmidt were going back and forth a couple times on faceoffs prior to the clip. It looked to me that Kramer asked Schmidt to drop the gloves and he said no. So as the play headed up ice Schmidt took a direct route at Kramer It could have been called kneeing either way it was pretty chicken S**t. you could tell Schmidt was not willing to drop the gloves and was furstrated by what Kramer was saying to him. I think the fine came form a fan throwing something at the Americans bench. Not 100% sure I was a long way from that but looked like someone threw something towards the bench and was not kicked out. No excuse for that nonsense. I was really suprised how many of the Americans players were targeting Johnson with hits up high near the head. Good to see Koper stick up for his teamate coming back from a concussion.

I have watched the Schmidt hit on Kramer and I cannot find anything wrong with it. Two hips bumping together...... I am looking at the replay as nuetrally as possible.

I can see Schmidt stick his right leg out and use it as a pivot to whip his hip out. I really hope there is not a suspension for this because it would make no sence what so ever.

What was the "OFF ICE" issue that caused the $250.00 fine?

severe to get 3 games in the playoffs. That is akin to 6 - 8 games in the silly season. Anyone have a link to the vid of the hit?
I kind of find it a tad hard to believe that a good ol' Lethbridge boy would be that crazy, but he is. Gotta think Burke is lickin his chops to get this kid into T.O. and give Kessell (sp) a lesson or two on heart and hard work.

5:27 mark. Watch it a few times and you can dissect the hit.
