ANSWER > Milan Lucic Boston Bruins 20%

If toughness wins championships, here's another reason why the Bruins are the Stanley Cup champions...Three of the top ten are members of the Bruins... It starts with Milan Lucic, followed by Zdeno Chara with 17% of the vote and then Shawn Thornton with 11% of the vote ...They exhibited how much damage they can inflict in a long series in the playoffs last spring with three seven-game victories.

The responses were compiled by staff members of the NHLPA and forwarded to Hockey Night in Canada. 318 players responded to the questionnaire.

ya, Boston won the Stanley Cup because they have all the tough guys. You are so tunnel visioned it is not even funny anymore. Winning had nothing to do with having a goaltender nobocy could score on all year, or timely goals. Hurry up, 1971 is calling you fossil. Let's go out and beat everyone up and win the championship. Your boy Kane jumped Obrien last night and spent the next 3 shifts crapping his strides and avoiding Obrien at all costs, it was pathetic. Kane Closed...

The same poll also stated that the canucks are the most over rated club in the league. That was considered invalid by you but since this part of the poll pumps up the tires of one your precious former large ones but that is considered valid in your eyes?

Is it your goal to make giants, your self and giants fans as hated as the blades? Because you're on the right track if the answer is yes.

the whole pole is a farce....and anyways, at least it said "toughest player", and not "best fighter", because that would be so incorrect these days. Pretty sure Chara would get the nod there. BTW, why did they not also have a "most concussed" category? ~ that could be Horton, and what an upset over Crosby that would be.

Because it shows that not even the players on the ice like the canucks?

The poll reflects the opinions of the players. Nobody ever said it was gospel truth.

All it shows is that the hockey world has very little respect for vancouver. On an international scale they are the saskatoon of the hockey world. Full of nutcases supporting a team that is insignificant in every way shape and form, that plays like a bunch of arrogant spineless pussies.

that should get a 100% vote, not under 60%..no?...clearly, the "voters" half-hazardly just went over, and ticked off their favorite answer. Would it have anything to do with the likelyhood that the Bruins are about as popular as the Canucks? Of course, being the most hated will translate into over-rated. Can you be under-rated with 117 points, and a President's Trophy?
