They get one of the greatest, most exciting players in Pavel Bure inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame and they spend the day debating whether to retire his jersey.
Are you kidding me? Many of these nay sayers likely weren't even born when he was putting up 60 goals and filling the Coliseum with fans after an abysmally futile decade. And yet they have such great players like friggin Stan Smyl's jersey in the rafters!
Ashamed to say I ever cheered for the Orca, what a disgrace this team and many of their fans are...
Maligny was actually a better pure skater, with a nicer stride, while Bure constantly looked out of control, and often falling on his *** in his selfish desire to score goals, and gain glory. His highest assist total was 39, while Mogilny's was 52 in a 107 pt season, and Bure's best was 94 points...only two more than Bam Bam Cam Neely's best, while doing about half as much as THE pre-eminent Power Forward in NHL history.
Respect your opinion Boblob...but NEVER was a Blurry fan..maybe partly because my Bro used to work the door at Kits on Broadway...but I honestly believe to me it's purely a 'Hockey Decision".
